Perfect North
Slopes debuts Web kiosks by Electronic Art
CINCINNATI—Electronic Art Internet Solutions (www.electronicart.com) has placed two
new Internet access kiosks at Perfect North Slopes ski resort in Lawrenceburg
Ind. (www.perfectnorth.com). The kiosks allow ski resort guests to surf the
Internet, check e-mail, send photos, and chat with instant messenger. Guests
can pay for access via cash, credit card, or access
codes. Guests can also receive five free minutes of Internet surfing
time by filling out a brief survey, which then provides them with an access
code to access the Internet.
Perfect North Slopes has wanted
to establish Internet access kiosks for three years, and recently partnered
with Electronic Art to provide the kiosks. “The kiosks provide our skiers and
other guests with a convenient way to stay connected,” said Perfect North
Slopes President Chip Perfect. “This is a value-added service we’ve wanted to
provide for a long time. Electronic Art was able to step in and make it a
reality.”
In addition to providing
guests with remote Internet access, the kiosks also provide advertising space to
regional businesses, which allow guests to visit their websites to check out
sales and promotions without requiring payment to access the websites.
Perfect North Slopes is using the advertising space to encourage guests to
buy tickets online, instead of waiting in line at the ticket window. The
kiosks were established in late October, before the annual ski swap at Perfect
North Slopes.
“There
will be hundreds of people buying equipment and season passes, and this will be
their first chance to use the kiosks and be aware that they are available,”
said Electronic Art President Tim Burke. “We’re excited to see the response
from this new offering. It’s an incredible convenience for skiers and Perfect
North alike.”
