Electronic Art Kiosk Tells the Story of the Re-integration of Football

CINCINNATI—A specially designed interactive kiosk, provided by Electronic Art (www.electronicart.com), a full-service computer kiosk company that specializes in custom kiosk software development and hardware, helps to bring the re-integration of football to life through an exhibit premiering at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. The exhibit, which opens Friday, September 15th, tells the story of Bill Willis, Paul Brown and Marion Motley, and how they changed a sport and a nation by working together.

Electronic Art developed interactive kiosk software to allow guests to watch a video story of how history was changed. Electronic Art provided its newly launched Easy Ship™ kiosk, which has touch screen capabilities, allowing guests to interact with the video.

"Learning this important story using video is an effective way to reach today's media savvy audience and quickly get the message across," said Tim Burke, president of Electronic Art, "The historical video footage and contemporary interviews with the athletes is engaging, and allows the guests to learn in a fun way."

The Easy Ship™ Kiosk is a computer kiosk stand or enclosure that is modular, easy to break down into separate pieces, and ships via standard shipping methods. The kiosk stand has optional components, such as a USB 84-key keyboard / trackpad, printer arm, and signage front panel. The computer Electronic Art uses most often on this stand is the IBM Anyplace unit. They have custom designed the Easy Ship™ kiosk with their rental customers in mind, who often need kiosks to be shipped to a tradeshow or event. Many other computer kiosks must be palletized and freight shipped, which increases cost and makes handling more difficult. The Easy Ship™ kiosk can be boxed and sent via carriers such as UPS for far less money, and can be more easily handled since it is in multiple smaller boxes.
